A1A Solar first focuses on objectively assessing a home’s energy efficiency via a complimentary energy survey to see what (if anything) makes sense, then recommends how to optimize these systems. A1A Solar offers the finest in solar electric panels and installation. Photovoltaic — or PV — is a complete system of energy-producing panels and inverters that are hard-wired to your home’s electrical panel, effectively turning your roof into a power-generating plant. Grid-tied systems can send surplus electricity back to your local electric utility or charge a lithium-ion battery system, such as a Tesla PowerWall, so you have electricity during temporary power outages or sustained grid-down scenarios. HVAC
Over our years in business, we’ve discovered that many of our solar customers’ homes have poorly maintained systems that often have not been optimally tuned or sized. As a result, we have expanded services to offer HVAC servicing and installations with a focus on high-efficiency inverter-based heat pumps and insulation services. We ensure HVAC systems are properly sized, installed, and tuned for maximum efficiency with a focus on preventive maintenance so the largest driver of the home’s electric bill will run at peak efficiency.
HOT WATER
Water heating is generally the second largest energy consumer in most homes. We install high-efficiency electric heat pump “hybrid” water heating systems to significantly reduce energy consumption.
EV CHARGING
We are proficient and experienced in the installation of EV charging stations (Tesla and other manufacturers) for homes and businesses. We install all types of EV chargers, including Tesla and Enphase, which integrate with home solar and energy storage systems. Some vehicle chargers offer bi-directional power sharing providing power back to the home, as well.
ENERGY EFFICIENCY
We often find low-cost corrections that make a huge impact. Envelope management that involves additional insulation, weather sealing to reduce leakage, duct repair, and HVAC system tuning and balancing. For additional energy savings, solar attic fans can significantly reduce cooling costs in our hot summers.
